This paper discusses the distinct mobile phone usage (MBU) patterns and perceptions of indigenous Israeli Bedouin and Tel-Aviv teens. Whereas the former's MBU mainly has instrumental purposes and public use is considered 'impolite', the latter's MBU mainly serves self-expression.
