Drawing on Sacks’ (1995) possession concept, and Sharrock's (1974) paper “on owning knowledge”, this article show how children use the claiming phrase “that's my idea”, (besides talk, gaze and physical actions), as well as counterclaims in peer problematic playground disputes on matters of (intellectual) ownership and possession.
