Drawing on videotaped interactions in French, this article exemplifies how overlapped speakers visibly settle the (brief) interruption of their action trajectory. It proposes to explore drop out of overlap as a first withdrawal step, whilst definitive, embodied withdrawal may occur later, or even, in case of resumption, never.
