Annotation

This study explores how two year old English-speaking children track six discourse-pragmatic features, and select each of four referential forms: omitted subject, pronominal, demonstrative, and lexical noun phrase. The most salient individual features are joint attention, prior mention and physical presence, and children are sensitive to a combination of these.
