Annotation

This paper explores first referent mentions in the storytelling of French-speaking children (aged 6 to 11), from a pragmatic and functional perspective. Specific language impaired (SLI) and typically developing children perform similarly at age 10-11, which matches the postulate of a pragmatic and morphosyntactic defect in children with SLI.
