An attempt to demonstrate that C. Perelman's theory of argumentation, in general and in its details rests on Aristotle's dialectica, that Perelman has not made any progress relative to Aristotle, and that the problems he advances are not solved. K. suggests directions for solutions to these problems, on the basis of Aristotle's theory.
