This paper elucidates how sensory perception experiences in the fields of vision, smell, taste, and touch are rewritten into text and discourse in the wine review genre. It is argued that the wine feature descriptors are monosemous synesthetic metonymizations, more exactly zone activations. As to deployed imagery, the proposed construals include both similes, metaphorizations and metonymizations proper.
