Annotation

This paper discusses the handling of truth, appropriateness and acceptability problems in everyday conversation via High Rise-Fall Repetitions. The following sequences are routinely developed and morally charged as the interlocutors compete for epistemic or moral power over the subject matter and proceed to work to remedy the inanity (even if, finally, they consent to disagree).
