Annotation

This study explores the role of two cognitive factors (i.e. working memory capacity (WMC) and language analytic ability (LAA)) in the degree to which native English speaking Turkish as a L2 learners profit by two divergent feedback types (i.e. explicit correction and recasts). Explicit correction appears to work better than recasts only with learners of high cognitive ability (high WMC or high LAA).
