Annotation

This article explores how linguistic heteroglossia is used to frame participation in a youth cultural community of Christian snowboarders in Finland, and especially how community members produce social meanings by employing their shared linguistic resources (such as their religious or snowboarding glossology). In the end, heteroglossia and indexicality empower the Christian snowboarders to determine and remodel meanings, identities and cultural settings.
