This study explores intercultural communication skills required by modern Japanese businesses. Besides a need for overall training, respondents mention capacities constituting a blend of “Japanese” and “Western” concepts. The responses finally fit the Brislin and Yoshida's (1994) framework, extended with “attitudes.”
