This paper examines Chinese graduate students’ perceptions of their sociocultural adaptation experiences at Korean universities and the main impact on that adaptation. The four major themes appearing from in-depth interview sessions were language proficiency, low interaction degree with host nationals, observed cultural distance, and partial stereotypes.
