This paper explores the links between early maladaptive schemas' (EMS) domains, humor styles, and aggression. The EMS domain of Impaired Limits appears most systematically linked to aggression. Maladaptive humor styles may play a significant role as one of the devices by which early maladaptive schemas cause later emotional and functional malfunction.
