This paper discloses some negative and positive impact of various humor styles on university undergraduates' distress in three Chinese cities (Hong Kong, Macau and Guangzhou), independently of impact from optimism. The effects are not dissimilar among the three cities. Still, some restrictions of humor impact are observable.
