Annotation

Overall, high scores on AQ (autism-spectrum quotient) are negatively linked to positive humor styles (as shown in an American sample). As the “poor mind-reading” feature is connected to higher scores on negative humor styles and the “attention to detail” factor to higher scores on all humor styles, this pictures a more nuanced image of the autism-humor link.
