Annotation

This study demonstrates a significant impact of new language acquisition in a formal setting and after the age of four, on speaker orientation. And age has a linear impact on the three distinguished strategy clusters, labelled Speaker, Hearer, and External orientations. This may help explain why young plurilingual learners deploy strategic competence patterns differently.
