Annotation

This paper explores post-crisis public corporate image repair statements of 12 Chilean companies. The key image repair strategy appears denial, whilst a secondary narrative of companies’ common sense, good moral character, and benevolence is obtained via the (ab)use of linguistic and pragmatic tools.
