Annotation

By considering distance and vicinity in a movement full of intertwined cultures and other-devising processes, this paper emphasizes a framework of relationships and power use that accentuates the signs and markers of contrast, and reveals the ways in which 19th Brazil imagined the Muslim as ‘the other’.
