Annotation
The demand for detailed computational pragmatic models (to study contextual language use via PC) increases as more sophisticated interactive systems, needing the elaboration of intelligent interactive agents, are being draught such as spoken (and written) dialog systems, embodied and situated conversational agents, and robots. The focus on dialog systems (and their evaluation) does not disavow the utility of computational pragmatics in other environs, such as machine translation.
