Annotation

Using a revised conceptual blending model, this study shows how text-music incongruity may produce rich rising meaning, which, though elicited by incongruity, is basically iconic to composers' “intentional” output. The composers may thus communicate meaning to the listener, and pronounce the aesthetics of their songs.
