This study aims at considering in some detail the link between lexical repetition patterns in an argumentative text (as computationally identified), the genre moves within it, the actual text paragraphing, and the paragraphs' textual junction characteristics. The Link Set Median procedure is employed to record exact, inflectional and derivational lexical repetition across 10 short English argumentative texts. The data are analyzed in the light of various research interests into the paragraph, and mapped accordingly. This novel approach ends in a more obvious picture of occurring paragraphing practice.
