Annotation

This study argues that instantaneous choices in interactional linguistic pragmatics, dictated by particular psychological and neurophysiological devices, are mainly controlled by the same cognitive devices that control emotional response. Using modern neurophysiology, pragmatic philosophy and phenomenology research, the study employs Persian, Javanese and Japanese examples.
