Annotation

This study makes a proposition for the organization of FDG's Contextual Component, which includes situational and discursive information and is ordered in various strata that match the FDG's interpersonal, representational, morphosyntactic, and phonological representation levels. As the contextual and matching linguistic representations employ the same formalizations, a direct information swap is possible. This model's functioning is exemplified by exploring the role of contextual information regarding grammatical phenomena in three distinct languages: English too, replies to yes/no questions in European Portuguese, and implicit arguments in Turkish.
