Annotation
This study indicates a clear preference for pronominal over zero subject expression in 1st and 2nd person singular in conversational Finnish, contrary to a general predilection for thrift in person reference in conversation, as proposed by Sacks, Schlegoff (1979/2006) and Levinson (2007). This choice is recipient to features in the local sequential context. It influences turn projection.
