Annotation

It is difficult to explore the link between colonialism, postcolonialism, and national identity in Brazil as the link between these processes is continually developing. A strain has subsisted amid discourses aimed at fostering language diversity, local opposition, and strategic application of these discourses. It is claimed that Lusitanization can be employed as approach to comprehend Brazil's colonial and direct postcolonial discursive practices, when inserted within an international geo-politics as relationships between Brazil and other South American countries surface.
