Annotation

This paper explores and discusses hybridity and linked expressions as deployed in linguistic research on genre. There is a focus on written texts though hybridity in spoken interaction is also debated. The paper specifies the concept of genre and reviews (proto)typicality in relation to genre and hybridity. Recontextualization is also discussed.
