This paper claims that there are possibly multiplex elucidations for bare participle form instead of full past tense use by young male Lithuanian Yiddish speakers, as it is unclear how to draw a stringent line between incomplete L1 acquisition (particularly in heritage language speakers) and contact-induced structural language change.
