This study shows how the American restorationist discourse of the Church/es of Christ, exported to the Philippines together with the U.S. colonial mission in Asia, adopts, in its intersection with the Northern Philippine Igorot culture, a kind of cultural imperialism which trivializes the indigenous whilst defining its own estrangement with its West-centric stance and ecclesiocentric language.
