Annotation

Rife with wisely chosen discourse, in relation to various target audiences, mobile signs are a potent device for according cultural and political meaning to mass protest, such as e.g. during the “Arab Spring” revolution. The inclusion of mobile signs in linguistic landscape research contends the concept of territoriality as a permanent place.
