Annotation

This article explores the actual request for enrollment over time, and the history of shaky public and academic attitudes towards teaching and speaking Spanish in the US over the last century. Additionally, it investigates the value of mother tongue fluency or the learning and use of Spanish in the current international marketplace. It also offers some estimates of economic and marketing quantitative stipulations of the language's ‘value’.
