Annotation

This paper shows that individual networks of linguistic contacts (INLCs) have a bigger impact (than objective ethnolinguistic vitality) on perceived out-(not in-) group vitality in surroundings where the in-group constitutes a local majority (instead of a minority). The examined data involve German-speaking and Italian-speaking youth in South Tyrol (Italy).
