Annotation

This nationwide study discusses how Iranian English language learners have a temperate language identity level, without important gender differences, yet with significant differences as to age groups (teens versus adults) and language skill levels (low- versus high-skill learners). Lastly, the results indicate that 73.3% of the participants favor American English, followed by British English (23.6%), Persian English (1.6%), Canadian English (1.2%) and Australian English (0.3%) varieties.
