Annotation

This study explores the crossing of language ideologies, policies and practices in a primary and secondary de(re)segregated Johannesburg suburban school, where black learners have substituted white learners. A comprehension of these ideologies is required to tackle the problematic English dominance and enable pupils to legitimately employ their entire multilingual repertoire (including home languages) as learning resources in quality education.
