Annotation

This study opposes children's digital communicative literacy practices in suburban middle-class and urban (Cape) township homes. The unalike uses and accessibility of digital media resources create different self-images, social ambitions and diverging ways with social semiotics, which add to the perpetuation of social inequalities in school contexts that correspond with language and social class divides.
