A family interaction analysis indicates how an ALS patient, interacting through a MyTobii AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) tool with eye-tracking and speech synthesizing technology, had a timing problem as to turn taking. Supplying the device with keys for straight yes and no replies eased her reaction and changed interlocutors' interactional style. The data in Dutch come with an English translation.
