This study demonstrates how inconsistent metaphorical framing between police officials and members of the African American (AA) community -after the lethal shooting of a young AA woman-, and within each group, may have added to accidental, unbalanced ironies, and finally to the flop of the public meeting in attaining either groups' goals.
