Annotation

Whether information is routinely and nonstrategically assessed as verity during understanding is still a point of dispute. This study evidences routine validation even when not task-fostered, though semantic processing is required for validation. The study finally indicates a close link between validation and understanding rather than validation constituting a target-dependent process.
