Annotation
This study unveils that the sum of encountered linguistic interference significantly forecasted second (but not first or monolinual) language reading capacity. The relation was not moderated by individual dissimilarities in working memory skills. These findings elucidate the want for contemplation of cross-linguistic factors for models of L2 reading capacity in particular.
