Annotation

In times of international negotiation, political leaders use a range of discursive strategies to diminish message gaps in order to ease solidarity at home and feigned cooperation abroad. Based on the discourse analysis of Israeli–Palestinian political speeches, this paper proposes a typology of six message gap strategies employed by Israeli officials and explains their role in dispute resolution processes.
