Annotation

Exploring the echo effect in a real-world context of currency exchange office customers, this study shows that whereas word repetition (verbal mimicry) is salient in enhancing an individual’s tilt to carry out prosocial conduct, the repetition order is not. Verbal mimicry appears a more potent technique than dialogue in affecting prosocial conduct.
