Annotation

This study proposes that motivation may account for the divergence between Truth-Default Theory and Information Manipulation Theory 2. It presumes that truth telling may be the natural response without clear motivations to lie (ergo, most human communication) and that lying may dominate as automatic reaction when it causes significant self-profit.
