Annotation
This paper sets out to advance insights in variation in university students' academic vocabulary by examining to what scope student writing across disciplines and study levels uses common or specialized vocabulary, and distinguishing clusters of student groups with similar vocabulary needs. There is considerable interdisciplinary variation, even when akin disciplines are grouped together. Most disciplines are inwards fairly analogous, and thus good nominees for teaching units, albeit master students' vocabulary often notably differs from that of undergraduates.
