This study indicates a link between language aptitude, test, and target structure. Language aptitude appears significantly linked to early second language learners’ achievement in structures comprising grammatical agreement on the non-speeded-response grammaticality judgement (GJT) test. This was read as demonstrating aptitude's compensatory role in structures for which age impact is the strongest.
