Annotation

This case study of the peculiar and abundant strategic use of affective demonstratives by the U.S. political figure Sarah Palin, in order to promote a sense of common ground and viewpoint, underlines the context-subjection of demonstratives’ social meaning and generates a deeper comprehension of Palin's rhetorical strategies and the received polarized replies.
