Annotation

The most generally mentioned hypotheses with respect to the relations between cultural values and communication are resumed and quantitatively assessed by meta-analysis. The analyses evaluated in particular the straight impact of cultural values (individualism, power distance, masculinity, insecurity shunning) on communication patterns (self-promotion, openness, interruption, personal space, high-context communication, indirectness, attitudes to silence, face-saving concerns, dramatism, ritualism and deception).
