Annotation

This study employs a repeated-measures diary design to explore connections between humor styles in the context of student dating relationships and relationship content over a short time. Both within- and between-persons levels are analysed. Affiliative humor at both levels is positively linked to relationship content. Aggressive humor is negatively linked to relationship content at the between- but not the within-persons level. A strong negative connection between daily self-destructive humor and relationship content was attested only for individuals with a great overall use of this humor style.
