Annotation

This paper uses the Autism-spectrum Quotient (AQ, Baron-Cohen et al. 1995), and the Humor Appreciation Measure (HAM, Rawlings 2008), to assess replies to jokes and hypothetical real-life situations. The attested connection between humor and Attention Switching is subject to participants' relative bent to shun situations linked to the new or unforeseeable.
