Although adaptive humor styles, indicating a positive attitude, do not appear steadily or soundly correlated to perceiving situations as less unsafe or to higher levels of unsafe behavior, additional research is required to explain why a maladaptive, aggressive humor style presages risk assessment and unsafe choices.
