Annotation

In its micro- or macro-textual format, and its diverse levels of malice, insinuation is declared an intricate communicative strategy that presumes the mind's ability to concurrently trigger and run multifarious parallel mental spaces, linked to different aims. Indirectness, manipulation, and deception appear associated with the strategy to diverse degrees. And a relevance-theoretic framework can accommodate insinuation's cognitive aspects.
