Annotation

The South African Language Policy for Higher Education (2002) underlines the need to employ mother tongue instruction, involving esp. isiZulu, at universities, as it eases and improves student academic achievement. Although this case study points to positive student experiences and attitudes towards isiZulu as language of instruction at KwaZulu Natal University's School of Education, isiZulu should be made more catching to (win over more) university students.
